A History of War and Presidents...

If someone were to have told the British that the French and Indian War 1754 - 1763 (during which the British suffered 10,400 casualties of the 50,000 total) would eventually result in a sucessful secession of the United States of America through the Revolutionary War 1775 - 1783 (during which America suffered 50,000 casualties of the 250,000 total), which would directly produce Five Presidents of the United States of America they would have scoffed at the thought.
However now days no American would argue the need for these conflicts as they of course enjoy the everyday benifits of the results. Just as important no one would debate the fact that the first three men to lead the United States were extremely strong.
The War of 1812 (during which America suffered almost 24,000 casulties of the almost 500,000 total) would directly produce four Presidents of the United States.
The Meixcan-American War 1846-1848 (during which America suffered almost 20,000 casualties of the 78,790 total), this war would give combat experiance to the leaders who faught in the Civil War 1861-1865 (during which America suffered nearly 1.2 million casualties of the 3.2 million total), which would directly produce another six Presidents of the United States.
Then there was the Spanish-American War 1898(during which America suffered 3,200 casualties of the 90,000 total), which would lead directly into the the Philippine-American War 1899-1902 (during which America suffered 7,324 casualties of the 126,000 total) and would directly produce another two Presidents of the United States.
Then there was World War I 1914 - 1918 (during which America sufftered 116,516 casualties of the almost 500,000 total) and would directly produce another two Presidents of the United States.
World War II 1939 - 1945 (during which America suffered 405,399 casualties) and directly produced seven Presidents of the United States.

Total Presidents with War Time experiance: 26 of the 43
